about

The Sister of Moses was written in return for some trees, felled on a croft on Scoraig by Nigel Rushforth. Nigel was upset watching the news about violence in Afghanistan and people being forced to flee their homes and didn’t know what to do. Tom dropped in that day to ask Nigel for some planks to repair his house. Nigel thought about it. One day he was listening to an uplifting song by Bob Marley about strength and love in the face of adversity. Nigel got to thinking that rather than money, he would ask Tom to write a song, and that would be a good use of his trees.
